Age - “I don’t look my age”
AHHH!
How many times recently I have heard the words, “But I don’t look my age!” So, I add ten years onto their age and say, “why, do you look XX years old?”
Does the age we are matter?
Victor Hugo once said, “Forty is the old age of youth, fifty is the youth of old age”.
What is age? We measure our age in the years since our birth. Some people “act” their age, other’s don’t. (Whatever that means).
If we date or marry someone a lot younger than ourselves or a lot older than ourselves, is that OK?
At the end of our lives, I feel that looking back, it will be the things that I didn’t do that I regret the most, rather than the things I did. Fit into your life - (your age), a lot of living. When we pass away, on our tombstones it will list our birth year, a dash, and our death year. Make the most of the dash, regardless of the numbers listed. I would rather people say, “Helen lived every single one of her years”, rather than, “Helen lived for xx years.”
Have a fabulous, fun filled day!
Helen
