Having a tidy house in an hour
Hello from Burnie in Tasmania
One issue that constantly crops up in coaching clients is this:… they do not like housework, but they do like a clean house. They don’t have time to clean etc etc etc.
One solution is to get someone else to do it. Pay someone to clean your house regularly, or barter with someone. Do something for them that they don’t like, that you do.
Another solution is to do a 60-minute housework-out. Try this and let me know how it goes for you.
How to do your housework in an hour….
Step 1. Work out 5 rooms/areas in your home that you want to have cleaner/tidier.
Step 2. Have all your cleaning products and stuff assembled and ready.
Step 3. Set your mobile phone or alarm clock with a ten minute reminder.
Step 4. Be in the first room of your five, and press “start” on your timepiece.
Step 5. Clean that room for ten minutes. As soon as the alarm goes off, you CANNOT clean/tidy anymore of that room, you must move onto the second room.
Step 6. Clean/tidy the second room for the next ten minutes, until the alarm goes off again. Do this in all five rooms.
Step 7. For the final ten minutes, pamper yourself. This could be a facemask, nail polish, coffee time, feet up with a magazine time, DO WHATEVER WORKS TO PAMPER YOURSELF!!!!
There you have it. A tidier and cleaner house in just an hour. Trust me!
Enjoy your cleaning TODAY!!

Hiya Helen, I did this today!
I started in my bedroom the 1st ten mins I made my bed, put clothes away, tidied shoes.
2nd ten mins- I got all my old jumpers & jackets out to give to charity.
3rd ten mins- I cleaned the bathroom/ensuite.
4th ten mins- I cleaned the main bathroom.
5th ten mins- I emptied all the bins, cleaned out my handbag & cleaned out the paperwork in my bedroom.
6th ten mins- I had a hand mask & a hand scrub, followed by moisturising & nailpolish!
Then lunch!!
I think I need another 60 mins to get through the rest of the house, lol! but it is a start & it was fun to do esp being on a time limit & having the reward at the end, thanks very much!! Hugs Lisa
